Network Automation Engineer CLEARED

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a CLEARED Network Automation Engineer to join a government consulting company supporting a fully funded project for the Coast Guard. This offers great remote flexibility out of Alexandria, VA but does need someone local for occasional onsite meetings.

• Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections to automate configuration and compliance for routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code best practices for repeatable deployments and version‑controlled configurations.
• Incorporate DISA STIG, DoD RMF, and Comply‑to‑Connect (C2C) standards into automation workflows.
• Create reusable automation frameworks to support multi‑vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, etc.).

• 3+ years of experience in a network automation role.
• Strong IaC experience with tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience with Cisco networking: routing, switching, and networking protocols.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
• IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+).

• $80,000 – $110,000 (based on experience)
