The Dev Ops Engineer, is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and resilient Dev Ops solutions. This role leverages extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines to drive the continuous integration, delivery, and deployment processes to enhance the efficiency and reliability of software delivery.
This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX;
Louisville, KY;
Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.
All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.
What you will be responsible for:- Learn to actively participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including research, prototyping, detailed design, development, technical documentation, and defect fixing.
- Learns to contribute to the technical design and implementation of system deployment automation and configuration management tools.
- Learns the developing software in appropriate scripting languages using agile design-build-test methodologies.
- Learns to construct, improve, and maintain the automated deployment pipelines.
- Collaborates effectively with team members from different disciplines, including developers, operations, and quality assurance and communicates progress, challenges, and solutions in a clear and timely manner.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- 1 year of experience in specialized engineering training, such as an apprenticeship, internship or learning co-op.
- Will be able to work an on-call rotation for 1 week every 8 weeks.
- Learns to use professional concepts. Applies knowledge and basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve problems. Determines a course of action based on guidelines. Works on problems of limited scope.
- Experience or working knowledge of SQL, Power Shell, Datadog, Azure Dev Ops, Octopus and fintech.
- Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Ability to demonstrate basic skills in the following areas:
System deployment automation and system configuration management - Software design and implementation
- Analysis and design at multiple-project level
- Research, analysis and problem resolution
- Communication and interpersonal
- Ability to learn to complete deliverables for each phase of the development cycle.
