The Vice President of Data & Analytics is responsible for defining and executing the enterprise data and analytics strategy. This role owns data platforms, analytics capabilities, and data governance to ensure high-quality, trusted, and actionable insights that support business growth, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making.

This leader partners closely with business, technology, risk, compliance, and finance teams to move the organization from descriptive reporting to insight-driven and predictive analytics while establishing strong data foundations.
Key Responsibilities- Define and execute a multi-year enterprise data and analytics strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Serve as the executive owner for data as a strategic asset, including analytics, reporting, data science, and data enablement.
- Build and lead high-performing data engineering, analytics, BI, and data governance teams.
- Establish clear operating models, prioritization, and delivery roadmaps.
- Own the enterprise data architecture, including data warehouses, data lakes, and integration patterns.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective platforms.
- Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud data platforms and real-time or near-real-time analytics where appropriate.
- Ensure data platforms support AI and advanced analytics use cases.
- Oversee enterprise reporting, dashboards, and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Shift analytics from historical reporting toward predictive and prescriptive insights.
- Partner with business leaders to define meaningful KPIs, metrics, and performance measurement frameworks.
- Ensure analytics outputs are trusted, actionable, and widely adopted.
- Establish and mature data governance, data quality, and metadata management programs.
- Define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across the enterprise.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements.
- Partner closely with Cybersecurity, Risk, and Legal teams on data protection and usage policies.
- Own the data and analytics budget, including platform costs and vendor spend.
- Drive cost transparency and optimization in partnership with Finance.
- Evaluate and manage third-party tools, platforms, and data providers.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or technology leadership roles.
- Proven experience building and scaling enterprise data and analytics capabilities.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, BI platforms, and analytics tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Experience operating in regulated industries (financial services, insurance, healthcare, or similar).
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and modern analytics stacks.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics use cases.
- Prior experience establishing or maturing enterprise data governance programs.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.
- Improved data quality, trust, and adoption across the organization.
- Timely delivery of analytics and insights aligned to business priorities.
- Reduction in manual reporting and fragmented data silos.
- Clear data ownership, governance, and compliance posture.
- Measurable business outcomes driven by analytics and insights.
