Summer Intern- Web Developer

Location: Montvale

Overview

We're looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working intern with a desire to gain working experience and skills in maintaining multiple websites as well as planning and executing website function and design improvements as part of our Web Development Team. The Intern's duties will encompass all aspects of web development, from startup (design, functionality, coding, mark-up writing, and testing) to routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

The Summer Web intern for 2026 will be focusing on prepping and enhancing SIICA public and intranet web properties for AI search.

Responsibilities

* Enhance existing web page content by applying web best practices to web page content for simplified AI comprehension and indexing

* Review existing library of content files for relevancy and restructure library for streamlined AI search ingestion.

* Assist with planning, designing and building the next generation of our dealer intranet

* Design and develop websites ensuring strong optimization and functionality.

* Code web pages utilizing HTML, CSS as well as programming languages such as JavaScript and Jquery.

* Work on projects including web layout enhancements, SEO and page speed improvements, as well as ADA compliance

* Graphic design and optimizing images for web.

* Assist in testing new software for Sharp websites.

* Proofread web content, marketing materials, PowerPoint presentations, letters, and memorandums before distribution on Sharp websites.

Qualifications

* Currently working towards a degree in Computer Science or a similar field.

* Desire to learn and grow as a Web Developer.

* Education and experience in industry standards in website development and content accessibility.

* Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS as well as web development applications such as Visual Studio Code

* Knowledge of image editing application programs such as Adobe Photoshop.

* Proficient using Windows, Microsoft Office suite products

* The candidate should show attention to detail, a command of order, a sense of humor, and a drive for client satisfaction. This person will be encouraged to be original and innovative.

Summer Internship Details:

* Compensation:
The hourly rate is $20/hr.

* Duration:
The internship program spans approximately 10 weeks, running from June 1st to August 14th, 2026.

* Work Arrangement:
This is a hybrid position, requiring interns to be in the office in Montvale, NJ, four days a week (Monday to Thursday), with Fridays designated for remote work at the manager's discretion.

* Transportation:
Since the office location in Montvale, NJ, is not accessible by public transportation, interns must have reliable transportation.

* Housing:
We do not provide housing or a housing stipend for interns.

* Work Visa:
Unfortunately, we do not offer work visa sponsorship for this role, including participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
