Position: Senior Manager, Customer Trust & Field Security Specialist - Capital One Software (Remote)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Scale and enhance existing Customer Trust programs, providing self-service access to security, privacy, and compliance information for customers
  • Serve as a trusted technical and security advisor, engaging with customer security teams and IT leaders
  • Represent the employer in security and technology discussions, contributing to industry best practices
  • Analyze and respond to cybersecurity sections of RFIs and RFPs, ensuring accurate information about security controls
  • Maintain and update security documentation, including policies and compliance certifications
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in a cybersecurity or information security role
  • Minimum of 4 years in customer-facing roles as a trusted advisor to senior security and IT leaders
  • Strong technical understanding of cybersecurity principles, data protection, privacy, and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating complex technical information
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with great attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience in developing scalable Customer Trust programs
  • 3+ years of experience with Third Party Risk Management programs
  • Strong business acumen to translate technical concepts into business value
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPP/E, or CompTIA Security+
  • Familiarity with cloud services and technologies (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure)
