Lead ETL Developer
Overview
Huntington Bank is looking for a Lead ETL developer in our Enterprise Data Warehouse. In this role you will be part of a team working to develop solutions enabling the business to leverage data as an asset at the bank. As a Lead Developer, you will design, develop, maintain and enhance code ensuring all IT SDLC processes are documented and practiced, working closely with multiple technology teams across the enterprise.
Key technologies include AWS EC2/Glue, Snowflake, Python and IBM Data Stage.
- Design, develop, enhance and maintain code following best practices and standards.
- Translate requirements and data mapping documents to a technical design.
- Create and execute unit test plans. Support regression and system testing efforts.
- Debug and problem solve issues found during testing and/or production.
- Communicate status, issues and blockers with project team.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying and solving opportunities.
- Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of technical industry trends.
- Mentor and train junior level developers on team.
- Serve as project leader for specific projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferably computer science)
- 5+ years of experience in ETL development in a Data Warehouse, including understanding of enterprise data warehousing best practices and standards.
- 5+ years of experience with database programming languages and advanced analytics
- 5+ years of experience with Python/PySpark, IBM Data Stage and SQL development.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure projects with hands on migration expertise on public clouds such as AWS and Azure, preferably Snowflake.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer – Professional and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering and threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies.
- Experience defining future state roadmaps for data warehouse applications.
- Experience leading teams of developers within a project.
- Experience in financial services (banking) industry.

Workplace Type: Office. Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. We’re combining the best of both worlds: in-office and work from home.
