What you will do

As a Senior Maxio Implementation Consultant with Echo Park Consulting, you will lead end-to-end Maxio implementations for B2B SaaS clients, with emphasis on subscription billing, revenue recognition, and SaaS metrics. You will be a trusted advisor to finance and Rev Ops leaders, guiding them through best-practice financial operations on the Maxio platform and adjacent systems.

Client Advocacy & Engagement
  • Serve as the primary functional lead for Maxio implementations, consistently acting as the client's advocate and trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong executive and project-level relationships with CFO, Controller, and Rev Ops stakeholders at growing B2B SaaS companies.
Discovery, Design, & SaaS Finance
  • Lead discovery sessions and requirements workshops focused on subscription billing models, usage-based pricing, discounting, and renewals.
  • Analyze and document clients' order-to-cash and revenue recognition processes, mapping them into Maxio and the broader financial systems landscape.
Maxio Configuration & Solution Design
  • Configure Maxio subscription catalogs, pricing, product bundles, and billing rules to support complex SaaS monetization strategies.
  • Design and document Maxio revenue recognition rules, schedules, and reporting structures to support ASC 606/IFRS 15 compliance and audit readiness.
Integration, Data & Reporting
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and oversee integrations between Maxio and CRM, ERP/GL, and data warehouse tools, ensuring a coherent financial data model.
  • Lead data migration strategy and execution for customer, subscription, invoice, and revenue history into Maxio, including validation and reconciliation.
Project Execution, Testing, & Training
  • Own functional project plans and scope for Maxio work streams, managing timelines, risks, and change control with minimal oversight.
  • Lead configuration walkthroughs, UAT cycles, and end-user training for finance, accounting, and Rev Ops teams, including Maxio dashboards and SaaS metrics reporting.
Post Go-live Optimization
  • Provide post go-live support to stabilize billing and revenue operations, troubleshoot issues, and refine configuration based on real-world usage.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities such as new billing strategies, enhanced reporting, or process automation in Maxio.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years in SaaS financial operations, consulting, or systems implementation, including significant exposure to subscription billing and revenue recognition.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing or administering Maxio, SaaSOptics, Chargify, or comparable SaaS billing/Rev Rec platforms (e.g., Zuora, Stripe Billing, Chargebee, Zone Billing).
  • Strong understanding of B2B SaaS business models, including ARR/MRR, churn, expansions, multi‑element arrangements, and ASC 606 revenue recognition concepts.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple work streams or smaller implementations end‑to‑end, with ownership of requirements, configuration, testing, and training.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams on integrations and data migration, including comfort working with large datasets in spreadsheets or BI tools.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to engage credibly with both executives and hands‑on practitioners.
  • Ability to work with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies.
Work From Home & Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to be on‑site with clients as needed (note: this role is fully remote).
