E. Cheese, Cheese and Peter Piper restaurants, is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator to join our team. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Infrastructure and is based at our Corporate Support Center in Irving, TX. This position offers some work-from-home ("WFH") flexibility.
Primary responsibilities include leadership and management of Information Systems personnel, introducing best practice procedures, standards, and policies, towards performing project-based engineering, design, installation, and troubleshooting of secure solutions.
Ownership of the Information Systems budget, capacity, and resources.
Responsible for the design, build, and hardening of Windows and Linux-based servers in both Co‑Lo and IaaS cloud platforms (Azure) environments.
Responsible for the design, architecture, rollout, upgrade, and maintenance of corporate technology initiatives and projects.
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computing hardware and software in compliance with standards, including maintaining accurate information within server management tools, systems, and the CMDB.
Responsible for daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, system processes, hardware, and review of system and application logs.
Responsible for the daily backup monitoring and management, and administration of storage systems.
Ensure day‑to‑day administration for production and test hardware, OS, software, and operations issues and SLAs.
Maintain patching and software deployments on the server (Tanium).
Administration of Azure, VMWare, Hyper‑V, KVU, and IAM services.
Works directly with peers to effectively build new technology solutions.
Participates in all escalated support issues and P1 Calls.
Develops the guidelines for comprehensive graphical and text‑based design documentation, and effectively manages project implementations.
Demonstrated ability to be a team player in a fast‑paced environment.
Some travel as needed to remote data centers and other offices.
Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree or equivalent professional experience.
8+ years of information technology experience with at least five (5) of those years to include hands‑on system administrator experience in both Co‑Lo and IaaS environments, and three (3) managing technical resources.
Mastery of Windows 2000/2003/2016/2023 (5+ years) in both Co‑Lo and IaaS environments.
Mastery of Office 365, Active Directory, Certificate, and DNS Management.
Mastery of hardware and software patching utilizing various tools.
Demonstrated experience in the areas such as IAM, network, database administration, computer operations, and production support.
Ability to configure servers for different functions (IAM, Roles, Applications, et al.).
Experience with server and desktop imaging products.
Enterprise Storage infrastructure including supporting fiber channel network infrastructure.
Must exhibit excellent problem‑solving skills and be able to quickly diagnose system problems and implement solutions to restore functionality.
Ability and willingness to work irregular hours as required to maintain the infrastructure and hosted services without interrupting core business operations or functionality, including scheduled weekend maintenance windows and on‑call rotation.
Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, can multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
Ability to work responsibly without direct supervision, with a proven ability to prioritize and multitask with exceptional attention to detail.
Familiarity with either NIST CSF, PCI, or SOX Compliance requirements.
