AV Service Technician - Crestron; DFW Area

Potential candidates must reside in the DFW area.

The successful candidate will work from home and will be dispatched to client sites in the DFW area to troubleshoot and resolve AV issues found in Board rooms and conference rooms.

TEKsystems is looking for an AV Service Engineer to service its existing customers in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills in Audio–Video technology and experience with major AV brands such as Crestron and Biamp. The engineer will provide in‑person troubleshooting of audio‑video systems in executive board rooms and conference centers, and must be professional and able to interface with enterprise customers.

• Minimum of 7–8+ years of experience with AV integration and/or AV field service
• Proficient troubleshooting of Crestron systems and other legacy AV systems
• Ability to reverse engineer legacy AV systems and debug newly built systems
• Experience with Extron equipment;
  Biamp, QSC audio DSP products;
  Cisco, Poly, Logitech video conference systems;
  Luxul, Netgear, Cisco switches
• Video wall systems:
  Planar, Unilumen, LG, Samsung, Barco products
• Testing with multimeter and troubleshooting skills
• Research and specify replacement products
• Intermediate to advanced AV networking skills
• Crimping, soldering, and cabling connector skills
• Advanced knowledge of signal flow and low‑voltage electrical concepts (e.g., Ohm’s law)
• Customer service experience and frequent client interaction

• Conduct preventative maintenance testing
• Perform site surveys related to service agreement quotes
• Write concise service reports and system site surveys
• Manage multiple service projects concurrently
• Lead and mentor junior/intermediate field service technicians

• A two‑year diploma from a technical college or equivalent experience
• CTS certification highly preferred, or equivalent experience

• Minimum 3 years of field service experience

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to stand, kneel, and/or crouch for long periods
• Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds

This is a contract position based in Dallas, TX. The role is hybrid: work from home with site visits.

The pay range for this position is $45.00–$55.00 per hour.
