Connectivity Engineer - Waukesha - Remote
Job Description Summary
Set up and maintain remote connectivity for GEHC Imaging and Ultrasound systems at customer sites. Ensure InSite™ broadband technology and its digital tools maximize imaging modality uptime, drive operational efficiency, and deliver a quality customer experience. Provide technical troubleshooting support to both internal and external customers. Configure and maintain GEHC VPN routers, IPsec, IKE/ISAKMP, route‑based, and IKEv2 policy‑based VPN tunnels, and troubleshoot TLS connections.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Provide remote connectivity to GEHC imaging systems using VPN, TLS connections, and other methods.
- Apply troubleshooting methodologies to perform system‑level analysis, identify root causes, and take appropriate actions for connectivity issues.
- Maintain knowledge of GEHC technical components, remote connectivity platforms, VPN appliances, firewall platforms, and modality‑specific configuration procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external customers during troubleshooting.
- Document troubleshooting steps and communications in the connectivity database.
- Manage multiple simultaneous tasks/projects and prioritize to meet targets.
- Perform VPN maintenance, including migrations and consolidations, in partnership with customers.
- Support the Connectivity team on other connectivity and special projects.
- Ideally, this role is located in Waukesha, WI and can be remote.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience, or Associate’s degree and 5+ years of experience in IT, Computer Science, Network Security, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and effective decision‑making capabilities.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with customers of varying technical skill sets.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. No visa sponsorship will be provided.
- Compliance with GEHC’s background check, drug testing, and customer access policies, including required immunizations if applicable.
- CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
- Palo Alto Networks certification or experience.
- Experience with remote connectivity, route‑based VPN, cybersecurity concepts, and web filtering.
- Results‑driven mindset.
