Position: Configuration & Change Enablement Coordinator with Security Clearance
Coordinates ITIL 4 Change Enablement and configuration management activities to ensure DDSB changes are planned, approved, communicated, and traceable. This role reduces operational risk by enforcing complete change records, disciplined approvals, and accurate configuration data. Key Tasks & Responsibilities
* Document the approval, deployment, and configuration of infrastructure system service Configuration Items within the Government ITSM solution to establish and maintain pre-production and production baselines.
* Manage and maintain the enterprise Configuration Management Database to support automated change activities and continuous process improvement for efficient change approval.
* Establish and maintain CMDB dashboards that capture key performance metrics, change statistics, and the enterprise change schedule calendar.
* Provide customers and Government leads with accurate and timely Configuration Item information using the ITSM CMDB.
* Ensure all of qualified changes are documented and tracked through the ITSM CMDB.
* Provide CMDB and change documentation training to change coordinators and initiators and ensure required artifacts are generated and maintained to support baseline updates.
* Perform configuration audits and verification activities to identify undocumented changes and minimize service disruptions and outages.
* Apply change status accounting practices to keep board members, system owners, and stakeholders informed of planned, ongoing, and completed changes.
* Review and assess change tickets to improve consistency, completeness, and clarity of risk and impact information presented to approving authorities.
* Perform Post Implementation Reviews with change teams and document unexpected results prior to closing change records.
* Collect and store completed Configuration Item documentation in the centralized infrastructure knowledge repository and advance change records to closure.
* Develop, manage, and maintain configuration and change enablement foundation documents, including policies, plans, templates, CAB charters, process diagrams, agendas, meeting minutes, and facilitate Change Advisory Board meetings as required.
* Assess change tickets to standardize and strengthen content created by change coordinators and ensure risk/impact details are consistent, complete, and usable by voting members and approving authorities. Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline or equivalent practical experience (as permitted by the contract).
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience supporting enterprise IT environments, with demonstrated work aligned to Configuration/Change Enablement Services. Certifications
* Approved DoD 8140 cyber-related certification.
* Alternate/equivalent certifications may be accepted with Government approval.
* ITIL4 Foundation is required. Security Clearance
* Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust suitability and all required system access (e.g., CAC-enabled accounts) to perform duties. Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)
* Work is primarily on-site in San Antonio, TX; limited remote work may be allowed when authorized by the Government and mission requirements permit. Work may require after-hours, weekend, and/or on-call support as directed, including support during scheduled maintenance windows, high-impact incidents, vulnerability response actions, inspections, and surge periods.
* This position is aligned to applicable DoD Manual 8140.03 work role 805 (NIST: OV-PM-005); contractor personnel must meet DoD 8570.01-M baseline certification requirements and transition to DoD Manual 8140.03 work role requirements, including required training, knowledge, skills, abilities, and tasks, within Government-directed timelines.
