What you will be doing
The Lead Legal Operations Specialist, eDiscovery plays a key role in developing best practices on eDiscovery processes and support the Vice President of Litigation in the successful delivery of eDiscovery services, which include the administration of the legal hold lifecycle, the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, and provide recommendations for cost efficient solutions for case‑specific projects.
The position is based out of our work site location in Boise, , with an in‑office requirement for four days and one flex day of work.
Main responsibilities:
- Meaningfully contribute to the design, implementation, and execution of eDiscovery templates, policies, strategies, and workflows.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the organization, including Legal, IT, and Information Security, to develop world‑class and cutting‑edge solutions to eDiscovery matters.
- Oversee legal hold process from issuance to release, including conducting custodial interviews and coordinating data disposition for all closed cases.
- Manage the process to identify custodians and preserve and collect Electronic Stored Information ("ESI") from storage repositories in response to discovery requests.
- Work with outside counsel in the preparation of pleadings, protective orders, ESI Protocols, and other pleadings related to the management of the eDiscovery process.
- Lead cross‑functional collaboration with Legal teams, IT, Information Security, Regulatory/Compliance, business stakeholders, outside counsel, and eDiscovery vendors to ensure alignment on eDiscovery requirements, workflows, and strategic needs.
- Prepare budget forecasts related to eDiscovery spend report and reporting eDiscovery costs through eBilling software.
- Train legal and business partners in early case assessment and emerging technology tools.
- Incorporate AI into our document collection and management, including determining what tools to use, licensing costs, deployment decision‑making and create implement training to ensure compliance.
