We are seeking a skilled MES Consultant to plan, design, develop, configure, and support our clients' Manufacturing Execution Systems (Rockwell Factory Talk Pharma Suite) within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless integration between MES, SAP, electrical test systems, and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills to deliver system solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, design, develop, install, configure, enhance, interface, and operate the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and drive projects to completion.
- Provide and manage production support for MES functions, including SAP interfaces, Electrical Test interfaces, MES master data maintenance & process modeling, MES functionality (transactions and user interfaces), and Database/reporting functions.
- Configure system settings and options, plan, and execute integration acceptance testing with required documentation.
- Create, configure, and update product workflows, specifications, and data collections in MES for new product introductions or major process changes.
- Communicate system functionality requirements on behalf of the end user, building consensus with engineers and business leadership to ensure the system's functionality and solutions meet business needs.
- Author and execute software validation activities, with proper oversight, required to support and maintain the MES system.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience as a consultant, engineer or administrator in a medical device manufacturing environment or related regulated industry.
- Experience with Rockwell Factory Talk Pharma Suite (FTPS) platform v8.0 or higher.
- Solid problem‑solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 10+, and/or Windows Server. Familiarity with TCP/IP systems.
- Understanding of SQL, and/or Java EE, IIS and/or Web Sphere, and XML.
- Experience with Application Support in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with the integration and automation of manufacturing and test equipment.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting Windows operating systems.
- Experience with SQL Database and Developer DBA functions.
- Knowledge of installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment, including routers, servers, switches, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security. Network performance monitoring and troubleshooting experience. Programming experience with an object‑oriented or scripting language.
- Experience as an Active Directory Domain Administrator.
