The Role Description Peraton is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our QA Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience maintaining scalable automated test frameworks using best practices. Develops and executes test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and ensuring software meets quality standards. Key responsibilities include writing test plans, documenting bugs with clear steps for reproduction, and collaborating with developers and other teams to verify fixes.

This position requires a high attention to detail, strong communication skills, and often involves continuous learning and comfortability in a SAFe Agile environment This position will perform the following duties, but not limited too:

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, Develop and maintain automated test frameworks utilizing Selenium (web automation), Appium (Mobile Automation), Typescript, and Gherkin (BDD framework)

* Develop reusable, scalable automation components using Page Object Model (POM)

* Perform various tests, including functional, regression, and integration, to identify defects.

* Document bugs found during testing in a bug-tracking system (e.g., Jira) and provide clear steps to reproduce them.

* Write, maintain, and update test cases and test scripts.

* Work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand requirements and verify bug fixes.

* Contribute to creating test plans, test cases, and other software documentation.

* Continuously improve test coverage, performance, and framework stability.

* Actively participate in sprint ceremonies(Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Sprint Planning, etc.
Qualifications
* 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree

* Must be a US Citizen

* Ability Public Trust Clearance

* Primary work location Falls Church, VA. (Remote work may be considered in special cases when approved by the customer.)

* ⁠
Experience with git or other version control systems
* Experience with defect tracking systems like Jira is often required.
* Selenium Web Driver

* Appium
* Type Script  
* BDD frameworks (e.g, Cucumber, Gherkin)

* Solid understanding of Page Object Model design pattern

* Experience with Agile and Scrum required

Desired:

* Experience working within Military Health environments is a plus

* Experience with Git Lab is a plus
* ⁠Familiarity with CICD tools (Jenkins, Github actions, Azure Dev Ops, etc..) is a plus

* Basic knowledge of testing tools like Selenium or Postman is a plus. SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Benefits Statement:
