As a Digital Enterprise Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Digital Technology ecosystem. You will define and deliver enterprise-level architecture strategies and roadmaps that align with our business goals today while preparing us for the challenges of tomorrow. Reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Solutions Director, you’ll combine your vision, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving expertise with our core team to drive innovation and ensure our digital systems remain agile, integrated, and future‑ready.
WhatYou Will Do
- Architect business-level strategies and roadmaps that align with Raytheon’s evolving goals and digital systems across multiple functions.
- Serve as the go‑to enterprise architect for complex, strategic projects that directly influence operational success within your assigned functions.
- Lead the business architecture development for multiple business functions, partnering closely with leaders and Agile Release Trains to execute work.
- Mature and scale the architecture practice through the development of consistent frameworks, standards, and processes.
- Own and manage master architecture models that depict key systems, integrations, and data flows to guide strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Collaborate across functional leaders, solution architects, and cross‑functional teams to design trusted, compliant, and efficient solutions.
- Collaborative Leadership – work alongside senior leaders and experts across diverse functions.
- End‑to‑End Systems Insight – comprehensive understanding of the key digital systems and applications that power Raytheon’s operations.
- Enhanced Business Acumen – insights by aligning architecture to business objectives.
- Hands‑On Innovation – leverage AI and model‑based digital thread techniques to accelerate architecture work.
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
- Proven experience leading and advancing the maturity of architecture teams.
- Experience architecting large transformation initiatives.
- Experience with formal architecture modeling using notations such as Archi Mate, UML, BPMN, or SysML, and tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architect or similar.
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret).
- Experience leading Enterprise Architecture teams in large, complex organizations.
- Formal architecture certifications or degrees (e.g., TOGAF, RTX Certified Architect).
- Strong technical expertise across applications, data analytics, cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
- Experience working in distributed teams and facilitating cross‑organizational solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, including executive‑level presentations, negotiation, and technical briefings.
- Persistence and focus in tackling long‑term, complex challenges to achieve strategic objectives.
