As we scale towards £20m+ revenue and 120 staff, we are investing in our leadership and infrastructure to support sustainable growth. Technology plays a critical role in how we operate – and we are now recruiting a Head of Technology to lead this next phase.
The RoleThe Head of Technology is a senior leadership role responsible for making the organisation run better, faster and more efficiently through the intelligent use of systems, data, automation and AI.
Reporting to the COO, you will own Local Partnerships’ technology strategy and IT operations, ensuring our systems, data and tools support productivity, innovation and commercial performance. You will work closely with senior leaders across the business to align technology with organisational priorities and enable teams to deliver with confidence.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strategic direction with operational oversight in a professional services environment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For- Setting and delivering the organisation’s technology strategy, including the safe and effective use of AI
- Identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency and innovation across the business
- Owning and overseeing core business systems, including CRM, finance, HR, collaboration and business intelligence platforms
- Ensuring strong data governance, system integration and trusted reporting
- Leading day-to-day IT operations, including end-user support, hardware, onboarding/offboarding and service standards
- Managing external IT suppliers and technology contracts, ensuring value for money and service quality
- Overseeing cyber security, resilience, risk and compliance, aligned to public sector best practice
- Managing technology budgets, licences, renewals and investment planning
- Supporting adoption, training and change to maximise the value of technology across the organisation

You will bring experience of:
- Leading technology or IT functions in a professional services environment (e.g. consultancy, legal, accounting or advisory)
- Owning and managing enterprise business systems such as CRM, finance, HR and reporting platforms
- Using data, automation and technology to improve productivity, utilisation, revenue or margin
- Delivering technology-enabled change and driving adoption across the business
- Working closely with senior leaders to translate business needs into practical technical solutions
- Managing suppliers, contracts and IT service delivery
- Maintaining strong governance, security and risk management practices
You will be confident, pragmatic and collaborative, with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership.
