Data Governance & Enablement Specialist (Business/ Metadata)

We’re looking for someone to join our Data Governance team and work on day-to-day tasks related to metadata, data definitions, and documentation. This role is for someone who is detail-oriented, communicative, works well with other teams, and isn’t afraid to ask questions.

Your responsibilities- creating, maintaining, and developing business metadata in the data catalog (e.g. Collibra, Informatica, Alation)
- defining and organizing business terms and definitions, data usage context, governance policies and rules
- modeling data assets and data products on a conceptual and logical level
- working closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and data users: interviews, workshops, requirements gathering, and data onboarding into governance frameworks
- defining and documenting data ownership, roles and responsibilities, data usage and stewardship rules
- supporting data quality initiatives from a business perspective: defining data quality rules and KPIs, identifying and prioritizing data issues, and supporting remediation with technical teams
- enabling and supporting users in effective use of data governance tools: business glossary, lineage, data quality rules, and governance roles and processes
- translating regulatory and industry requirements (e.g. GDPR, AI Act, DORA) into practical governance processes, metadata structures, and configuration guidelines
- supporting data governance adoption by helping users understand not only what to do, but why it matters
- has experience working in data governance, data quality, metadata, or related roles
- has worked across different industries and organizational contexts
- understands: data architecture concepts, metadata types, data lifecycle and governance operating models
- can model data conceptually and logically, without going into engineering details
- is comfortable training users and running workshops
- can explain complex governance and regulatory topics in a clear, practical way
- understands how data governance tools are used in practice by business users
- communicates confidently and transparently in Polish and English
- naturally acts as a bridge between business, governance, and technical teams
- a clear opportunity to deepen expertise in data governance and metadata management within real, large-scale production environments
- salary in the range of 12 000 – 15 000 PLN net (B2B)

This role is primarily suited for a mid-level data governance specialist with strong communication skills.
