We are seeking a highly skilled Presales Systems Engineer to support the largest State, Local Government, and Education (SLED) accounts in Los Angeles County
. This role focuses on named accounts
, requiring deep technical expertise and strong relationship-building skills to position HPE Networking solutions
, including Aruba and Juniper portfolios
, as the foundation for digital transformation in public sector environments. This role will be supporting the greater San Bernadino region.
- Account Coverage: Serve as the primary technical resource for strategic SLED accounts in Los Angeles County.
- Solution Expertise: Provide technical leadership across the combined HPE Networking portfolio-Aruba wired/wireless, Clear Pass, Central, Juniper switching, routing, security, and automation.
- Presales Engagement: Collaborate with account teams to understand customer requirements, deliver technical presentations, and create solution proposals.
- Solution Architecture: Design complex networking solutions tailored to public sector needs, including compliance and security requirements.
- Proof of Concept (POC): Lead POCs and solution validation activities to demonstrate value and performance.
- Strategic Influence: Act as a trusted advisor to senior IT leaders in government and education organizations.

Collaboration:
Work closely with channel partners to ensure successful solution positioning and adoption.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in networking or IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a presales or customer-facing technical role.
- Proven experience supporting SLED accounts or large enterprise customers.
- Technical
Skills:- Deep knowledge of network design principles
, routing/switching, wireless, security, and SD-WAN. - Familiarity with cloud-managed networking
, automation, and AI-driven operations.
- Deep knowledge of network design principles
- Certifications: Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP) strongly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Location: Candidates must reside in the greater San Bernadino region and have the ability to travel to customer sites within the assigned territory on a regular basis.
- Experience with competitive networking solutions and ability to articulate differentiation.
- Understanding of public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of network automation frameworks and integration with cloud platforms.
