Our client, a leading organization in the cybersecurity and information assurance sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Vulnerability Assessment Analyst and Penetration Tester 3 to join their dynamic team. As a Vulnerability Assessment Analyst and Penetration Tester 3, you will be an integral part of the Security Operations team supporting critical vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Vulnerability Assessment Analyst and Penetration Tester 3
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Pay Range: Fair Market Rate
What's the Job?- Support technical vulnerability assessments of applications and infrastructure, including vulnerability research and report generation.
- Coordinate and supervise penetration testing activities, establishing rules of engagement and ensuring secure test execution.
- Consolidate penetration testing services into a comprehensive program, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with FRTIB requirements.
- Assist in selecting appropriate testing tools and methodologies based on project requirements, and coach team members in their effective use.
- Conduct reconnaissance, target assessment, and vulnerability research to identify exploitable vulnerabilities and verify findings manually.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing roles.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) tools for vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
- Strong understanding of network security, application security, and vulnerability management processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present findings and collaborate with stakeholders.
