Data Analyst, Business Systems/ Tech Analyst
Job Summary
The Technical Business Analyst serves as a bridge between business needs and technology, responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business solutions using Epicor P21 development tools and modern analytics platforms. This role gathers requirements, analyzes processes, and delivers solutions that align with organizational goals. The Technical Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across departments to ensure systems, workflows, and data support efficient operations and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to elicit and refine business and technical requirements.
- Analyze, design, code, test, debug, and document programs and workflows, especially within the Epicor P21 environment.
- Develop and maintain reports using Power BI, SSRS, and Epicor P21 reporting tools.
- Design and implement workflows, job scheduling, and systems management solutions in Epicor P21.
- Perform SQL analysis and data modeling to support business intelligence and operational reporting.
- Build, test, and deploy business solutions using end-user and low-code/no-code platforms as needed.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and feedback sessions to gather insights and build consensus.
- Provide user training and create documentation to support solution adoption and long-term success.
- Ensure solutions meet business requirements, technical standards, and security protocols.
- Provide post-deployment support and gather feedback for iterative improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
While performing the duties of this position, the position may be exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in that work environment can be loud and Personal Protective Equipment may be required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:While this is a full time remote position, the requirement to be in office may change based upon business needs. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Frequent travel, overnight, overtime hours, and weekend work may be required.

Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in programming, business analysis, or process improvement.
- Hands‑on experience with Epicor P21 development tools (reporting, workflow, systems management, job scheduling, SQL analysis, and Dyna Change).
- Proficiency in Power BI, Crystal Reports, and SSRS report writing.
- Experience with Azure Synapse for data integration and analytics.
- Light experience in C# and other programming languages.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum or Kanban frameworks, and iterative development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI-PBA
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement credential
