About DTMB

The Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.

About the Position

Senior IT Business Analyst support for DTMB Agency customer applications. As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will serve as a key liaison between customers and the development team, ensuring effective communication and alignment of project goals. You are responsible for supporting Agile Scrum activities, including writing user stories, developing and managing test cases, coordinating test processes, and facilitating backlog grooming sessions.

You will maintain and publish customer-facing content through SharePoint to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information. In addition, you will collect and analyze data from multiple systems—such as Clarity and Azure Dev Ops (ADO)—to prepare comprehensive, executive-level reports that provide insight and visibility to senior leadership on project progress and performance. You will mentor other DTMB staff to resolve client agency IT issues.

Information Technology Programmer Analyst 12

Position Location

This position is located in Lansing, MI. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week (subject to change).

The ideal candidate will also possess SharePoint editing skills to efficiently publish and maintain customer-facing content. You should have proven expertise in collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources—such as Clarity and Azure Dev Ops (ADO)— and transforming it into concise, executive-level reports for senior leadership.

Education

Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following:
