SAP AI Business Services Consultant

Overview

This role is for an SAP AI Business Services Consultant on a long-term contract, offering remote work. Requires 5-10+ years in AI/ML, strong Python and NLP expertise, and experience in banking or high-tech environments.

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models, including classical ML, deep learning, and LLM-based architectures.
• Build and optimize NLP pipelines for text classification, embeddings, summarization, entity extraction, and conversational AI.
• Work with GenAI frameworks, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and model fine tuning.
• Develop high-quality, production-grade Python code for model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, feature stores, and model-serving infrastructure.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of model performance, explainability, and error patterns.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into ML solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and model governance processes.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, AI/ML, Computer Science, or related field from a top university.
• 5-10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, NLP, or applied machine learning.
• Strong expertise in Python (Num Py, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/Tensor Flow), LLMs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, Lang Chain, RAG, embeddings), NLP (tokenization, transformers, text analytics, vector search), ML fundamentals (supervised/unsupervised learning, optimization, statistics), Data Engineering (Spark, Airflow, SQL, data pipelines).
• Experience working in top banks or high-tech companies (FAANG-level preferred).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex ML concepts clearly.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and MLOps tools (Sage Maker, MLflow, Kubeflow).
• Ability to work with GenAI models and integrate them into enterprise applications.

• Experience with model fine tuning, LoRA, PEFT, or custom LLM training.
• Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate).
• Experience with prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks.
• Prior experience in banking, financial services, or regulated environments.
