Application Developer III; Remote - WashU IT

Position: Application Developer III (Remote) - WashU IT
Location: St. Louis

* Supports myIRB (Java based) application in close coordination with WashU IT and HRPO teams
* Conducts workflow study and analysis of business practices:
Analyzes and documents existing processes as they relate to information technology solutions.
* Performs application lifecycle activities, including:
Code, monitor, maintain, test and debug software applications; follows established change management processes; facilitates code reviews and enforces code standards; develops and executes test plan development; researches and evaluates new technology, products, specialized hardware and tools to optimize development and functionality of applications; makes recommendations to management and customers; assists in ensuring team members complete tasks as assigned, taking corrective action to stay on schedule.
* Provides support for complex operational activities and recoveries; coordinates with software vendors and external service providers; troubleshoots escalated software bugs and provides fixes.
* Provides off-hours support, as needed.
* Provides strong leadership, cultivates and fosters excellent customer service; enforces adherence to departmental standards; instructs, trains and guides less experienced staff.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Ability to travel to various on- and off-campus locations.
* Up to 22 days of vacation, 10 recognized holidays, and sick time.
