Job SummaryThe AI Governance Engineer ensures the safe, effective, and ethical deployment of AI/ML across the FHSC system. This role operationalizes the governance framework for the full AI lifecycle, conducts technical due diligence of internal and external AI systems, and establishes robust post-implementation monitoring and auditing to safeguard patient care, regulatory compliance, and institutional integrity. The engineer partners closely with clinical leaders, data scientists, IT, Legal, Compliance, Safety/Risk, and Procurement to embed responsible AI practices in both vendor and in-house solutions.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or other related field
- Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified AI Governance Professional (CAIGP), Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), Certified AI Governance Specialist (CAIGS), and/or Certified AI Governance & Compliance Specialist (CAIG&CS) required.
- 3–6 years of experience in AI/ML model validation, technical risk management, or governance in a regulated environment.
- Professional certification in risk, privacy, audit, or AI governance required.
