Job DescriptionA Fin Tech client is seeking a Cloud Database Architect to design, implement, and manage their modern cloud data ecosystem. This role will shape enterprise data strategy and architecture, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and automation across AWS and hybrid platforms. You will work heavily with cloud data warehouses, lake houses, event streaming pipelines, and SQL Server in the cloud. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in automation, modern data architecture, and Data Ops.

- 5+ years of experience as a Database Architect or in a similar role with 3+ years in cloud-native data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server – database design, administration, performance tuning, etc.
- Background in programming language for automation i.e. Python, Power Shell, AWS CLI, or equivalent
- Experience with observability and monitoring frameworks to ensure resilient, self-healing data systems.
- Strong expertise in event streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, or MSK) for real-time pipelines.
- Experience with cloud-native data warehouses and lake houses: AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg.
