The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a senior Linux Systems Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems support team in Melbourne, FL.

Note:

Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site. Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
* Monitor and report HPC system health/metrics.

* Identify performance bottlenecks.

* Modify system wide parameters to improve performance and evaluate the effects of those changes.

* Perform HPC technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk evaluation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses.

* Manage HPC system life cycle: concept, design, installation, test, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

* Assist software developers and engineers in installing, debugging, and optimizing their software in the HPC environment.

* Support technical users running analysis on HPC systems

* Collaborate with Security and follow guidelines to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies.

* Scans, patches, and hardens the computing environment to meet customer requirements.

* Collects, audits, and stores necessary log data for the system.

* Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 9 years of experience is required

* Must have a Security+ CE or higher; maintaining the required certification will be a condition of continued employment

* Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (or higher) in order to be considered

* Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD Top Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment

* Candidates must have the ability to obtain access to Special Programs as a condition of employment, maintaining Special Programs access will be a condition of employment
