About DTMB
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
About the PositionAs a Senior IT Quality Assurance Analyst, you will serve as a software tester ensuring system requirements are testable and accurately met, perform preliminary ADA/SOM Standards reviews of systems, assist with application vulnerability security scanning, and ensure that DTMB and vendor partners deliver a quality tested solution to our agencies. This position advocates for adherence to SOM PSPs, helping to ensure secure access, use and storage of various data supporting business operations.
In addition, you will work closely with business partners to uphold quality standards across our IT systems, web sites, web applications, mobile sites, and mobile applications.
This position is critical for coordinating efforts between technical and business teams, completing quality assurance activities, advocating for adherence to SOM PSPs, and providing application and customer support for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), and the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs (DMVA).
You will provide technical support to other team members, evaluate new development tools and agency systems, evaluate, document, and inform DTMB management and supported client agency of impact and risks to existing IT solutions due to proposed legislation, enhancement requests, or changes in governmental processes or procedures. You will actively participate in the development and implementation of assigned client agency’s IT strategic direction/plan and mentor other DTMB staff on quality assurance best practices.
Location
This position is located in Lansing, MI. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.
