• Own and deliver the Fusion roadmap, implementing new functionality such as SQL comprehension and governance
• Define requirements for Fusion features that integrate with the dbt platform to unlock enterprise value
• Keep the Fusion engineering team aligned and executing on a predictable schedule
• Contribute hands‑on to the dbt Core/Fusion codebases, including code reviews and documentation
• Collaborate with OSS strategy leads and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver a unified roadmap

• 1–2 years of product management experience in technical domains such as developer tooling or data platforms
• Strong understanding of system architectures for local deployments and enterprise use cases
• Experience bridging technical delivery with business impact, translating features into revenue metrics
• Proven ability to work with engineering teams to define and ship complex technical features
• Strong communication skills with empathy for both open‑source contributors and enterprise users

• Hands‑on experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
• Background in plugin architectures or extensibility systems
• Understanding of product‑led growth (PLG) motions and freemium‑to‑paid conversion strategies
• Experience with SQL engines or query optimization
• Prior experience as an engineer familiar with modern development frameworks (e.g., React, Typescript, Python)
