About The Position
This position in the Court provides mid to high-level technical software support to users and data transfers to improve and enhance computer systems to meet specific assigned functional area's business needs. Work includes data transfers/ETL and data analytics using SQL Server/SSMS, SSIS, and Visual Studio. This role also does testing, evaluation, acquisition, installation and support of software, related hardware, and some audio/video systems.
Updates and maintains computer systems or programs and databases by troubleshooting, problem analysis, and provides advice to improve productivity and better integrate technology into business operations. Project management skills, the ability to prioritize and pivot are all key components needed in this position.

PLEASE NOTE: Years of experience are based on a work schedule of 2,080 hours per year for full-time positions and 1,040 hours per year for part-time positions, and while work experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis, depending upon the job classification, education may not be substituted for work experience.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution in a related field of study.
- Two years of experience directly working on computer-based information systems' hardware, software, networks, wireless systems, systems analysis, and integration.
- An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
- Obtain and maintain FEMA certifications IS – 100, 200, 700, and 800. Training is provided on duty and testing is completed within first 90 days of hire.
- Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
- Provides the "day-to-day" administration and maintenance of the assigned functional area's one or more software application systems.
- Provides support required for all functional area related software applications including working with vendors to upgrade systems or training new users on the system.
- Evaluates and analyzes assigned functional area related processes, procedures and workflow to determine the feasibility of different technology options and solutions to meet their requirements.
- Performs in system analysis, computer configuration, planning and training of employees on the assigned functional area's automated systems to ensure optimal performance of the systems.
