SummaryWe are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Designer to update our website. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our online presence to support our mission of promoting peace, justice, and human dignity within the community.
Responsibilities- Design an already developed website that is visually appealing, user friendly, and that aligns with our mission.
- Ensure websites are accessible and compliant with web standards.
- Optimize website performance for better user experience.
- Maintain and update existing websites as needed.
- Conduct user research to inform design decisions.
- Implement responsive designs for various devices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Proven experience in web design and development.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong skills in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of usability principles and web accessibility standards.
- Experience with responsive web design techniques.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., Word Press).
- Ability to work individually and report back with minimal design meetings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
We are looking for someone who can work self sufficiently with little guidance to take key points from our mission and day to day work to implement our agencies goals into a user friendly, updated website.
Job Types: Contract, Temporary, Freelance
Projected Total Compensation: $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
