IT Vendor Manager - Contractor

Seeking an experienced IT Business Operations Manager to support enterprise IT operations, vendor governance, and financial oversight within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

This is a strategic IT operations role focused on vendor management, budgeting, executive reporting, and operational governance. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, deep knowledge of IT contract structures, and experience operating in regulated industries such as pharma, biotech, or healthcare.

This is not a hands‑on technical engineering role.

• Manage IT vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure performance, value, and accountability
• Conduct vendor performance reviews and risk assessments
• Vet vendors for cybersecurity and regulatory compliance
• Identify opportunities to reduce vendor sprawl and consultant dependency
• Track vendor effectiveness, service performance, and cost efficiency

• Support annual IT budgeting and forecasting in partnership with Finance
• Track IT expenses and manage forecast variances
• Align technology investments to business priorities
• Develop financial business cases for IT initiatives
• Maintain operational dashboards related to budget performance and contract compliance

• Deliver business updates and executive summaries to senior leadership
• Build and maintain operational metrics and reporting dashboards
• Support large-scale enterprise IT initiatives
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Procurement, and IT leadership

• 7+ years of experience in IT operations, technology operations, or enterprise operations leadership – Required
• Industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or healthcare – Required
• Strong understanding of IT financial management, budgeting, and cost controls – Required
• Experience managing IT vendors, contracts, and third-party services – Required
• Deep understanding of IT-specific contract structures – Required
• 2+ years of experience delivering executive-level updates and concise summaries to senior stakeholders – Required
• 2+ years of experience supporting large-scale enterprise initiatives – Required
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools – Required
• Experience working in a regulated environment – Required

• Industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or healthcare
• Experience operating in compliance-heavy environments
• Strong business acumen with ability to collaborate across Finance, Legal, Procurement, and IT
• Experience building operational structure and improving governance processes
