Overview

Our client, a Prominent Financial Services Institution
, is looking to hire a strong IT Audit Manager to join their Emerging Technology - Data Science team in Dallas.

This is a hybrid role that will require some in-office presence as well as ample work from home time. May be open for candidates in the New York Metro Area as well.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development of automated technology solutions to assist in assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of risk, controls, and governance processes across the organization.
  • Develop and implement innovative automation projects that provide cutting- edge, digital auditing solutions.
  • Deliver automation capabilities that enhance efficiency and assurance within the corporate audit team.
  • Provide reporting and operational insights and develop action plans to improve the internal control environment.
  • Create and enhance continuous risk assessment and anomaly detection capabilities through the use of advanced data analytics and data mining techniques.
  • Innovate and lead the use of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) to enhance and improve the approach to assurance activities across the organization.
  • Mentor and guide staff members on various audit projects within the team.
Requirements
  • Degree BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related field highly preferred.
  • Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, and or Cloud Technology and Data Science and Technology highly preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience developing Automation / Data Science capabilities within a risk and controls environment.
  • Experience working in an Audit department, with a strong focus on infrastructure/ data analysis or technical area.
  • Experience evaluating risk and making decisions based on hard and soft data.
  • Experience in technology solutions and application development as it relates to the improvement and automation of risk and control processes and sub-processes.
  • Previous leadership experience, managing others on a project basis or on a team

Knowledge and experience with some or most of the following:

  • Financial Services industry experience highly preferred.

    ML/AI algorithms
  • Relational Databases, No

    SQL Databases
  • Experience leading/ coaching junior data scientists and automation software engineers highly preferred.
  • Fact-based, data driven approach to understanding and assessing risk with the ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate audit and automation goals and value to upper management and stakeholders.
