Job Title:

Quality Assurance Analyst. Role is for the Mississippi Department of Education (MDEK
12). This is a remote, long-term position through 02/28/2031 (approximately 5 years) with 40 hours per week (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST). Posting close date: 01/28/2026 – 3:00 PM CST. This role supports long-term application development and modernization initiatives in an Agile/Scrum environment. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on QA experience, excels at translating business requirements into comprehensive test plans, and has a strong foundation in software and database testing.

This is a remote position.

• Plan, design, and execute system testing for simple and complex implementations
• Translate business requirements and user stories into test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Perform UAT, functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, and Developers
• Validate system functionality against documented requirements
• Track defects, analyze test results, and document findings
• Develop QA deliverables including:
• Formal Test Plans
• Test Case Documents
• Technical Use Cases
• User Guides and System Documentation
• Create diagrams, workflows, and data-flow documentation
• Participate in QA process improvements and best practices

• 7+ years as a Quality Assurance Analyst on software development teams
• Strong experience writing test plans, test cases, and scripts from scratch
• Expertise in:
• Acceptance Testing
• Regression Testing
• Performance Testing
• System & End-to-End Testing
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience reviewing business requirements for testability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with defect tracking, test data management, and QA documentation
• Ability to map business processes into detailed test scenarios
• Familiarity with SDLC, software quality standards, and test strategies

• Database & backend testing experience
• SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures
• C#, .NET, MVC
• Dev Ops environments
• Visio (diagrams, flowcharts, workflows)
• Experience with Data Factory / Synapse
• Prior QA documentation samples (strongly preferred)

Bachelor’s degree preferred
