Senior Staff Engineer – Cybersecurity Data Protection Engineer; HYBRID

• Lead efforts to identify, assess, and evaluate vulnerabilities and threats to information systems and sensitive data
• Develop and implement data protection strategies, including access controls, encryption, and retention policies
• Conduct regular data risk assessments and monitor the effectiveness of security measures
• Mentor and supervise other data protection engineers, providing guidance on methodologies and best practices
• Represent the organization in external meetings with clients and stakeholders

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, focusing on data protection and privacy
• Proven experience with data protection technologies, including encryption and data loss prevention tools
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET
• Experience in managing and supervising other Data Protection Engineers
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity laws, regulations, and best practices

• Experience with designing and implementing data security solutions for enterprise environments
• Knowledge of data security frameworks, standards, and protocols
• Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations (i.e., NYDFS, PCI, etc.)
• Experience with architecture and design in cybersecurity contexts
• 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
