DoIT Help Desk - Student Lead Technical Writer

• Create, update, and maintain documentation in the Help Desk Knowledge Base
• Collaborate with the Help Desk Knowledge Base administrator on improvement projects
• Monitor and analyze feedback on Knowledge Base documents and update as necessary
• Develop new Knowledge Base content in partnership with service providers
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and strategies

• No technical experience is required
• Excellent written communication and proofreading skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Inquisitive attitude and a desire to learn new things
• Availability for at least three semesters, including summer

• Experience with technical writing, troubleshooting, or customer service
• Familiarity with website accessibility standards and user experience (UX)
• Knowledge of data analytics tools, such as Google Analytics
• Interest in project management and leading a team of peers
• Strong opinions about writing style, including grammar and editing
