Information System Security Specialist II

JOB DESCRIPTION

Watershed Security is a Veteran‑Owned Small Business with over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and government contracting. We are seeking an Intel Security Specialist to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Anex (NSWCDD‑DNA) in Dam Neck, VA. The successful candidate will coordinate and enact required security changes across various levels of the organization, ensure compliance with published policies, conduct cybersecurity vulnerability and threat analysis, and serve as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE).

• Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
• Five (5) years of full‑time professional experience performing Risk Management Framework activities
• Maintain IAM‑II designation with at least one of the following active certifications: CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC
• Experience in all of the following areas:
  • Performing STIG assessments, including using SCAP benchmarks and evaluating STIG
  • Performing vulnerability assessments with the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution tool
  • Utilization and process execution within eMASS
  • Developing Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) entries
  • Completing Risk Management Framework Step 5 authorizations in the ISSE capacity
  • Communicating risk‑reduction recommendations to stakeholders
• Clearance Level: SECRET; US Citizen
• Ability to provide onsite support in Dam Neck, VA; remote work may be an option depending on customer needs and classification level of work performed
• Some travel may be required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Project). Self‑starter; detail‑oriented; able to brief senior‑level staff

• Experience supporting five or more Navy Packages (achieving and/or maintaining ATO)
• Experience with Navy cybersecurity requirements; experienced with Navy compliance tools such as eMASSter
• Experience with the NAVSEA RMF Business Rules

Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 USD.
