We are seeking a Network Engineer III to join our NOC/SOC team. This position is based at our Corporate Support Center in Irving, TX and reports to the Manager of Network Operations, where we support flexible and remote work arrangements.
This individual will be responsible for daily monitoring and troubleshooting of network platforms (WAN, LAN, Wi‑Fi), security appliances, content filtering, gaming systems, and implementing technology solutions at CEC’s restaurants, corporate offices, and data centers. The individual selected for this position will have the ability to build strong relationships within the IT organization and stakeholders, while being able to manage and support CEC’s core and restaurant‑based technology infrastructure.
Responsibilities:- Providing leadership to team members performing project‑based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of network solutions.
- Performs daily system monitoring and review of system and application logs, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware and systems.
- Responding to corporate and restaurant incident tickets following CEC’s IT policies and procedures.
- Installs, configures, and supports traditional and legacy network infrastructure components, such as routers, switches, Site‑to‑Site VPN, SDWAN, Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS and load balancers, following CEC’s change management process.
- Implements and verifies network changes following CEC ITIL change management process.
- Create SOPs, Playbooks, Procedures, and other relevant documentation to assist other NOC/SOC and Service Desk team members in the support of the Enterprise.
- Participate in the on‑call rotation and 3rd tier support for escalations.
- Some travel as needed to stores and other offices.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Five (5)+ years of information technology experience, with hands‑on practical experience in configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting networking infrastructure with a solid understanding of routing and switching protocols.
- Experience with enterprise firewall platforms such as Cisco Fire Power, Palo Alto, or Fortinet.
- Experience with configuration and support of Cisco ISE, Cisco DUO or similar network access control and identity services platforms.
- Experience with Site‑to‑Site and Client VPN technologies, SD‑WAN on Cisco and Meraki platforms.
- Experience supporting cloud computing platforms, specifically Azure.
- Working knowledge of various other supporting network platforms such as Solar Winds, SNMP, Syslog, Net Flow, SIEM tools, Wireshark.
- Familiarity with either NIST CSF, PCI, or SOX Compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or possessing technology certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA+, Microsoft AZ‑900/AZ‑700, or other relevant training to the position are a bonus.
To perform the duties of this position, the incumbent must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, and carry, lift, pull, push between 1 – 25 lbs. Incumbent must use a computer, with repetitive movement of both hands. Incumbent must be able to work an 8‑hour shift, with some overtime. Incumbent must also be available to travel to various locations by airplane or by operating a vehicle if needed.
