About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Data Analyst to partner with our Associate Director of Communications and Content to turn Affinity Solutions data into clear, credible, and compelling insights. Success in this role means delivering data stories that are interesting, accurate, and easy to understand
—insights that directly support marketing, research, and sales objectives
, influence decisions, and support content direction and strategy. This role blends rigorous analysis with storytelling
, ensuring insights don’t just exist, but are understood, trusted, and help reinforce Affinity’s position as the leading consumer purchase insights company.
You’ll support analysis of Affinity data for:
- Research papers, industry reports, and ebooks
- Infographics and insight spotlights for social and website content
- Sales enablement materials that translate insights into value stories
- Conduct end-to-end data analysis using Python and SQL
- Identify trends, patterns, and narratives within large datasets
- Build dashboards and reporting in Tableau, Looker, and Power BI
- Apply forecasting, predictive modeling, and A/B testing techniques
- Automate data extraction and transformation workflows
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency
- Translate complex findings into insights stakeholders can act on
Qualifications:
- 5+ years as a Senior Data Analyst or similar
- Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL
- Strong experience with Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Jira
- Proven background in forecasting, campaign optimization, and performance analysis
- Experience with content marketing analytics and research-driven insights
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques applied to business problems
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Hypothesis-driven, structured approach to analysis
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating cross-functionally
- Focused on insight quality—not just output volume
- Able to adapt scope as data reveals new opportunities

Time Frame: Full year
Engagement: Project Based (this is a contract position)
Rate: ($80/hr) up to $25K for the year / 312 hours for the year / 6 hours per week
