Our client, a leading organization in the technology and security sector, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their team where you will be part of the team supporting software development and compliance initiatives.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proactive communication, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title:Platform Engineer (Kubernetes, Git Lab, Cloud)
Location:Remote
Contract Duration:9 months with possible extension

What's the Job?- Design, implement, and operate Kubernetes-based platform services, including multi-tenant clusters and workload orchestration.
- Serve as a primary contributor to the architecture and deployment of a new Git Lab instance, collaborating closely with the platform architect.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Git Ops workflows to provision AWS and Kubernetes resources across programs.
- Deploy and maintain AWS-based infrastructure supporting developer environments, CI/CD systems, and platform tooling.
- Support CMMC and NIST 800-171 hardening efforts, ensuring security and compliance across cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong, hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in Dev Ops, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- 3+ years of Python experience for automation and tooling.
- Experience deploying and maintaining Git Lab or similar VCS/CI platforms in cloud or hybrid environments.
