SEO & Generative Search Manager
The SEO & Generative Search Manager is a strategic, AI-forward individual contributor responsible for leading SMG’s end-to-end SEO and generative search strategy. This role builds scalable systems and frameworks that expand visibility across traditional and AI-driven discovery environments while driving measurable business impact. This role serves as the internal authority on evolving search trends and positions search as a compounding growth engine for the business.

SEOand GEO strategy:
- Own and operationalize SMG’s end-to‑end SEO and GEO strategy, increasing visibility across AI‑driven discovery platforms and driving measurable pipeline impact.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, performance data, and strategic objectives.
- Create and document scalable playbooks that embed AI‑driven search best practices across Marketing.
- Coach cross‑functional partners on applying search insights and AI tools within their workflows.
- Establish repeatable experimentation frameworks that position search as a continuous learning engine for the business.
- Remain current on evolving search trends, algorithm updates, and AI‑driven discovery environments.
- Design and implement AI‑enabled workflows, including prompt libraries, automation scripts, programmatic testing, and structured data processes.
- Run structured, hypothesis‑driven experimentation cycles to continuously improve SEO and GEO performance.
- Translate emerging AI capabilities into scalable, repeatable systems.
- Continuously test and refine AI‑assisted optimization strategies to improve discoverability and performance.
- Own keyword strategy, search intent mapping, and on‑page optimization across solution, industry, and thought leadership content.
- Partner with Marketing and Product Marketing to inform new content creation and re‑optimization based on performance data and opportunity gaps.
- Monitor and analyze content performance; identify opportunities to refresh, consolidate, re‑optimize, or prune underperforming assets.
- Implement and refine internal linking strategies, metadata enhancements, and structured data/schema markup.
- Conduct regular technical audits to evaluate crawlability, indexing, and overall site health.
- Partner with Marketing and Revenue Operations to ensure proper tracking, tagging, and attribution of organic performance.
