MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Service Now Developer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role via the following:

* Build and customize applications on the Service Now platform, including ITSM modules like Incident, Problem, and Change Management

* Create custom scripts, including Business Rules and Script Includes, to automate processes and meet business requirements

* Connect the Service Now platform with other systems and applications using technologies like REST/SOAP

* Perform administrative tasks, such as user and role management, system maintenance, and health checks

* Customize user interfaces, forms, and workflows to align with business needs

* Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for issues related to integrated processes and platform functionality

* Work with end users, stakeholders, and management to define and create reports, dashboards, and data analysis products

* Participate in IT-related technical processes reviews, postmortems, and continual process improvement

* Maintain current Service Now and industry certifications, while obtaining additional certifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Service Now Developer must have:

Education:

Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree

Experience:

1+ years of related experience

Required Skills:

* Experience in developing and customizing Service Now applications and modules, especially ITSM

* Experience with integration methods like SOAP, REST, and web services, including creating and consuming them

* Scripting skill with at least one language - preferably Java Script

* Exposure to Service Now's data management tools such as Import Sets, Transform Maps, and the CMDB

* Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective technical solutions.

* Understanding of the Agile software testing process and lifecycle, from smoke test to integration to production deployment

* Ability to identify, understand, document, and create functionality aligning with customer value streams

* Organizational and time management skills while working in a rapid software development environment

* Ability to identify and learn new technologies quickly

* Good communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

* Effective analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills

Required Certification:

* Active Service Now Certified Systems Administrator or ability to obtain within 30 days of start

* Additional Service Now certifications nice to have

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
