MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

As a Cloud Engineer Associate, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of supporting data scientists in developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) proof-of-concepts. You will play a crucial role in growing GDIT's AI capabilities and business opportunities.

* Support the architecture, implementation, and optimization of AWS infrastructure to support innovative AI workloads, ensuring high availability and compliance.

* Collaborate with data scientists, security teams, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable cloud environments using best-practice Dev Sec Ops  methodologies.

* Drive cost optimization, security compliance, and operational excellence through automation in a small, agile team.

* Utilize AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, Bedrock, Sage Maker, Open Search, ECR, Dynamo

DB, RDS, VPC, Cloud Formation), Linux, Bash/Python scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and more.

The Cloud Engineer Associate must have

* Education:

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

* Experience:

1+ years of related experience

* Technical skills:
Must have Linux OS, Bash/Python scripting, Cloud Formation, networking, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes; experience with AWS services including IAM, S3, Route
53, EC2, Cloud Watch, RDS, and VPC.

* Experience utilizing AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, Bedrock, Sage Maker, Open Search, ECR, Dynamo

DB, RDS, VPC, Cloud Formation), Linux, Bash/Python scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and more.

* Role requirements:

Motivated and willing to learn; experience working with IAM policies, and security groups; ability to document solutions and procedures using Confluence, including architecture creating diagrams using Draw.io or Visio; communication skills for collaborating with data scientists and security teams; AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified Developer Associate) highly desired.

The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
