Senior ServiceNow Developer; Fully Remote U.S Remote

Position: Senior ServiceNow Developer (Fully Remote within U.S.) (Remote)
Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Service Now Developer to support and enhance our enterprise Service Now platform across multiple product lines, including IT Service Management (ITSM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), Employee Center Pro (ECP), Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), Security Operations (Sec Ops), Vulnerability Response (VR), and Nuvolo.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical expert who can lead complex development efforts, drive platform best practices, and partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing Service Now solutions. Supporting CFPB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain Service Now applications and modules such as ITSM
• Build and maintain custom Service Now functionality using:
  • Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions
  • Flow Designer / Workflows
  • Catalog Items, Record Producers, Service Portal / Employee Center
• Implement and optimize integrations using:
  • REST/SOAP APIs
  • Integration Hub / MID Server
  • Data imports, transform maps, and scheduled jobs
• Configure and enhance Employee Center Pro experiences and HR service workflows.
• Develop and maintain GRC controls, policy/compliance workflows, and reporting dashboards.
• Support Sec Ops and VR use cases such as vulnerability ingestion, remediation workflows, and security incident management.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior developers and administrators.
• Collaborate with platform owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to Service Now best practices, SDLC processes, and governance standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

Required Qualifications:

• Work Hours 9-6 ET
• 5+ years of Service Now development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on development experience with:
  • JavaScript on the Service Now platform (Glide APIs)
  • Scoped applications
  • Flow Designer / Workflow
  • Service Catalog
• Proven experience supporting multiple Service Now modules, including modules such as:
  • ITSM
  • SPM
  • HRSD
  • ECP
  • GRC
  • Sec Ops / Vulnerability Response
  • Nuvolo
• Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP), data loads, and system interfaces.
• Solid understanding of Service Now security model:
  • ACLs, roles, groups, data policies
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Citizenship: US Citizenship required.
• Clearance: Public Trust T3 (Or the ability to obtain and maintain one)

• Service Now certifications such as:
  • CSA (Certified System Administrator)
  • CAD (Certified Application Developer)
  • Implementation Specialist certifications (ITSM, HRSD, SPM, Sec Ops, GRC, etc.)
• Experience with:
  • CMDB/CSDM and discovery/inventory tools
  • ATF (Automated Test Framework)
  • Service Now upgrade planning and execution
  • Dev Ops tooling and CI/CD pipelines for Service Now
• Federal / regulated industry experience (NIST, RMF, SOX, HIPAA, etc.) a plus.
