Columbus, Ohio - Hybrid (Relocation Available)

This Senior Level role serves as a principal expert across Stores, Home Office, Distribution Centers, Data Centers, and cloud network environments. In addition to overseeing design, architecture, implementation, security and support of complex multi‑site networks, this role now leads transformation initiatives involving hybrid cloud connectivity, Zero‑Trust architectures, SD‑WAN/SASE technologies, automation, and AI‑assisted network operations. The engineer ensures a resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure aligned with future business demands, while driving strategic network modernization and mentoring senior technical staff.

Function as Technical Lead on network architecture initiatives:

• Provide technical input for enterprise network design and modernization efforts.
• Define project purpose, scope, cost, and business impact.
• Design and operate hybrid and multi‑cloud network architectures (Azure, GCP, On‑Premise, Co‑Lo, etc.).
• Engineer and maintain SD‑WAN and SASE solutions to support distributed environments.
• Implement AI‑driven network analytics and AIOps platforms for predictive performance insights.
• Expand network observability using platforms such as Thousand Eyes, Net Brain, or Logic Monitor.
• Advise on and implement firewall, micro‑segmentation, NAC, and cloud security policies.
• Collaborate with security teams on threat modeling, incident response, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Serve as top‑tier escalation for complex enterprise network issues (3rd/4th Level).

Drive post‑incident RCA, service resilience planning, and performance tuning:

• Provide on‑call support as needed for business‑critical operations.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, application, cybersecurity, and cloud teams.

Establish and govern enterprise network standards and lifecycle roadmaps:

• Present network strategy, risks, and modernization initiatives to leadership.

Evaluate emerging technologies including AI‑enabled networking, edge computing, etc.

Mentor junior engineers; create structured development plans and knowledge pathways.

• Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years engineering enterprise‑scale networks with progressively senior responsibilities.
• CCNP, CCIE preferred or equivalent experience
• Cloud networking certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Net Engineer Associate.
• Automation‑related certifications (e.g., Dev Net Professional) a plus
• Advanced Load Balancing and Routing & Switching experience (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, IPv6).
• Cloud networking (VPC, Express Route, etc).
• Network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• SD‑WAN technologies and SASE frameworks.
• Network security technologies (Firewalls, NAC, ZTNA, micro‑segmentation).
• Wireless networking and large‑scale enterprise Wi‑Fi design.
• Exceptional communication; ability to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
