- Senior Scientific Software Engineer – Molecular Systems
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid) – On-site 3 days a week.
Salary: $200,000–$500,000 base + bonus + full benefits (commensurate with experience)

Must have the following: Python & C++ expertise, scientific software engineering, molecular or chemical data systems, scalable backend platforms

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support scientific software platforms that power molecular research and data-driven discovery
• Build high-performance workflows for simulation, modeling, and large-scale data analysis
• Develop tools and algorithms supporting molecular representation, screening, and analysis
• Architect scalable backend systems for complex scientific datasets
• Partner with chemists, biologists, machine learning engineers, and researchers
• Create visualization and analysis tools to accelerate scientific insight
• Optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability across research systems

Requirements:

• Strong programming experience in Python and C++
• Proficiency in Linux/UNIX-based environments
• Experience building scientific or data-intensive software systems
• Exposure to molecular modeling, chemical data platforms, or computational science tools
• Background in distributed systems, high-performance computing, or workflow orchestration
• Comfortable collaborating in interdisciplinary research teams
• Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and technical ownership
