The Team

Workday's BT Infrastructure team is looking for a Sr. Director, Cloud & Network Infrastructure to join our fun, innovative, and hardworking team. Working with an outstanding group of highly qualified IT professionals, you will be managing a special team that architects, deploys and supports on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated manager who has a vision of cloud first infrastructure and the ability to manage a global team of engineers.
The Role
Reporting to VP, Infrastructure the Sr. Director, Cloud & Network Infrastructure will own and drive the next evolution of core infrastructure services delivering innovative Network, Security, data center and cloud services. You will encourage speed and agility through cloud adoption and automation. You will partner with Real Estate and Workplace Services to commission/refresh sites while delivering an unparalleled employee experience along with partnering with Security to ensure a safe environment for our employees, customers and partners through innovative capabilities that enable them to work from anywhere.
You are passionate about technology and motivated about nurturing people. You have experience delivering in a rapidly growing organization and drive meaningful outcomes working cross functionally. You champion efficient processes and are data driven through metrics. You will hire, coach, mentor a strong team of technologists who work across multiple time zones and encourage and enable them to innovate and deliver the best solutions for Workday.
You are fiscally responsible and manage a large budget that drives critical capabilities for Workday, partnering with multiple vendors and partners.
- 15+ years of professional experience in enterprise IT leadership.
- 10+ years of experience leading technology delivery capabilities across Enterprise Network, Data Centers, Cloud (AWS, Google, Azure)
- 10+ years of transformational experience handling technology change in high growth organizations.
- 10+ years of experience leading network and related supporting technologies supporting global offices with 50 to 5,000+ employees.
- Extensive experience in large scale AWS, GCP environments and aligning people, process and technology to support such scale.
- Experience in implementing a zero trust architecture.
- Familiarity with data centers commissioning and maintenance technologies including compute, storage, hypervisors (VMware)
- Proven security first and security by design mentality with hands on experience in security practices and frameworks such as NIST, CIS.
- Certifications including CISSP and higher or equivalent.
- Experience managing global teams across multiple time zones.
- Experience defining policies, process and procedure and revamping them as needs change.
