Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

RBC Capital Markets LLC seeks a Lead Site Reliability Engineer in Jersey City, NJ to support and spearhead the development and implementation of Site Reliability Engineering Solutions for all applications. Lead the production environment, build software systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications, and enhance our software solutions’ reliability, quality, and time‑to‑market. Lead and assist in incident management and problem management for applications within scope.

Ensure all systems and applications comply with the scope of work. Remote work permitted 2‑3 days per week.

• Support and spearhead SRE solutions including monitoring, alerting, machine learning anomaly detection, self‑healing, and reliability testing.
• Lead the production environment and build software systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
• Enhance reliability, quality, and time‑to‑market of software solutions.
• Assist in incident and problem management for applications within scope.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience working within a financial institution focusing on site reliability engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in SRE/Dev Ops, application support, and software development lifecycle (including C/C++ and Java).
• Experience with Linux, Windows, macOS and databases such as Oracle, Postgre
  
  SQL, Mongo
  
  DB, SQL Server and No
  
  SQL.
• Experience with cloud, distributed and mainframe environments, business workflows, and services/APIs.
• Experience with database querying, KDB+, Q, cloud, Docker and data automation.
• Experience with automation tools including RPA, UIPath, Ansible, Chef and Puppet.
• Experience with SRE languages and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Moogsoft, Pager Duty, Service Now, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Blue Prism, Catch‑Point, Grafana, YAML and Global Service Desk.
• Experience with job scheduling tools (CAWA, Airflow, Message way, Control‑M), messaging platforms (Solace, MQ, Kafka), CI/CD (Jenkins, Fusion, Ant, Blade logic) and vulnerability management (SAST, DAST, IT risk remediation).

The salary for this position is $150,550 per year, plus a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company matching, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and paid time‑off.
