Job Summary
This role is for an organization in the Cincinnati Sports/Entertainment space. The Director of Technology is a strategic and hands‑on leader responsible for overseeing the daily delivery and long‑term improvement of IT services across the organization. This role advocates for our customer‑facing technology operations, with a focus on building and scaling our team and providing solutions that solve key business problems.
The leader will oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of critical technology services, drive innovation, and champion a strong cyber security posture to safeguard the club. This role directs technology support, technology budgeting functions, while driving operational efficiency, technology modernization, and business process improvements.

What You’ll Do- Technology Management and Leadership
- Manages and provides leadership for technology applications and infrastructure for the company and associated companies, campuses, and departments with a goal of improving efficiency and streamlining operations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the technology team, including the recruitment, training, and evaluation of technical staff.
- Manage third party vendors and technology support contracts.
- Directs the work of the company’s managed service provider and ensures adherence to contract and SLAs.
- Technology Operations
- Oversees the design, maintenance and scalability of the network across campuses and the upcoming mixed‑use development project, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics for the IT department.
- Oversees the evaluation, selection, implementation and/or development of applications, infrastructure, and technology to support the organization’s objectives.
- When required, possesses the technical ability to provide troubleshooting and network outage remediation.
- Collaborates with the technology team to develop staff how‑to’s, manuals, and training.
- Risk Management and Security
- Lead the organization's cybersecurity strategy, including the development and implementation of comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain the organization’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all critical technology systems.
- Establish and enforce technology policies and procedures to for staff and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or business‑related discipline, and experience in technology leadership roles.
- Minimum 5 years direct responsibility for building and managing technology operating budgets.
- Knowledge in implementing robust safeguards to ensure operational resilience and cybersecurity readiness.
- In‑depth understanding of the entire technology stack including data‑networking, telephone, applications, and system administration.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack including both on‑premise, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively translate complex technology concepts into understandable business terms.
- Leadership to energize and empower teams to perform at their best—mentoring talent, fostering collaboration, and building a culture of continuous improvement.
- An aptitude for independent decision making, creative thinking, and innovation for technology.
