We’re looking for someone with cloud experience, certifications, and the skills to operate in large environments, who is flexible, enjoys tackling challenges, and wants to grow with a large team that is building and sustaining a multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise and migrating/expanding/automating it.

As a Principal Cloud Developer
, your work will be impactful to the mission of federal customers. You will play a crucial role through the following responsibilities:

• Design, architect, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions
• Maintain the integrity and security of systems
• Maintain all documentation
• Support and develop automation
• Develop in languages such as Bash, Power Shell, Python
• Maintain and enhance knowledge of AWS cloud services
• Monitor and tune cloud systems for optimal performance
• Collaborate across teams and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during infrastructure buildouts
• Handle escalations, assess, recommend, or provide solutions to resolve issues
• Compose and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, knowledge articles, and related documentation

Bring your engineering expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. Candidates for the Principal Cloud Developer role must have:

• Technical training, certificate, or degree required;
  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or a relevant major strongly preferred
• Principal Level: 5+ years of related experience with AWS cloud computing required; 7+ years of total IT experience strongly preferred

• Proficiency in Bash, Power Shell, or Python
• Development background in Node.js and React.js
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Design and implement data processing and integration solutions using ETL tools
• Experience with applications using serverless architecture and/or containerization
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiences

• Linux OS experience

Salary:
The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not a guarantee of compensation; actual salary will be based on experience, location, and contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
