Cloud DevOps Engineer II; Top Secret

As a Dev Ops Engineer, II at Parsons, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our development and operations teams. You will automate and optimize our software delivery processes, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our applications and infrastructure. You will work closely with our DCSA partners as well as data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to align data‑driven strategies with organizational goals.

This role supports remote work, with occasional onsite attendance required for customer‑facing meetings in Columbia, MD.

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
• Integrate various tools and technologies to streamline development workflows and improve efficiency.
• Manage and configure infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
• Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and scalability of cloud‑based applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Support infrastructure, platform, and application systems to develop, deploy, and operate software solutions in the cloud.

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a Dev Ops or related role.
• Security+ certification (no substitutes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or Circle
  
  CI.
• Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
• Knowledge of security best practices for Dev Ops.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.
